KT said on the 14th that it held its first chief executive officer (CEO) meeting in Korea with global AI platform corporations Palantir and discussed ways to expand the Palantir platform across domestic industries.
Kim Young-shub, the KT CEO, and Alex Karp, the Palantir CEO, met at the KT Gwanghwamun Building to review the results of applying the Palantir platform and discussed execution strategies to expand it to domestic corporations. On Mar. KT signed a partnership with Palantir.
KT also held the second "AX Leader Summit" to mark Alex Karp's visit to Korea. The event was attended by Woo Ki-hong, Korean Air vice chairman; Kim Yong-beom, Meritz Financial Group vice chairman; Koo Ja-kyun, LS ELECTRIC chairman; and Lee Ju-tae, POSCO Holdings CEO.
KT has built a cloud-based work environment and is applying Palantir Foundry and an AI (artificial intelligence) platform to some organizations. Foundry and the AI platform are platforms that analyze corporations' data with AI to support efficient decision-making. The company said this enables real-time analysis and visualization of the large volumes of data generated during work, allowing clearer judgments in establishing and executing department-level strategies.
Kim Young-shub, the KT CEO, said, "The cooperation between KT and Palantir will become a success case that drives AI transformation (AX) innovation in key industries in Korea," adding, "We will support the spread of effective decision-making based on AI and data across various industrial domains."
