Naver Webtoon said on the 13th that it took part in the "2025 New York Comic Con (NYCC)" held at New York's Javits Center from Oct. 9 to 12, local time, opened an official booth, and successfully wrapped up its events.
New York Comic Con is a large-scale pop culture event held annually in New York, United States. It covers the full spectrum of pop culture, including comics, graphic novels, animation, film, and TV series. It boasts a massive scale, drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.
Following last year, Naver Webtoon joined New York Comic Con for the second straight year, stepping up efforts to promote webtoons to North American users. This year, not only original webtoon characters such as "Viral Hit" and "Omniscient Reader," but also globally popular intellectual property (IP) characters from major North American publishers partnered with Naver Webtoon helped decorate the webtoon booth, capturing visitors' attention.
In particular, at the daily costume play events, fans dressed as a variety of globally popular characters, in addition to webtoon characters, gathered together to offer a major spectacle. Fan signings with 13 creators also drew long lines every hour, attracting many fans. Korean creators YC and Rakhyun of "Viral Hit" held their first signing in the United States, meeting with North American fans.
