Amazon said on the 13th that it launched the "Amazon Incheon Community Fund," which supports the Incheon community. Through this fund, Amazon will provide a total of 135 million won ($100,000).
The Amazon Incheon Community Fund is the first community fund that Amazon has introduced in Korea. The company described it as "part of a commitment to support and realize innovative programs that can have a lasting impact as a good neighbor in the community."
The Amazon Incheon Community Fund focuses on driving positive change in key areas including △ education and accessibility △ digital capability △ sustainability △ energy and environment △ community impact △ Kia issues △ health and well-being △ nurturing future talent. The fund provides grants to domestic nonprofit organizations ranging from 690,000 won ($500) to a maximum of 14 million won ($10,000). Organizations can apply for funding to launch new projects or implement proven ideas that have been successfully realized in other regions around the world.
The Amazon Community Fund is managed and operated by ChangeX, a nonprofit based in Dublin, Ireland. ChangeX operates a community engagement platform designed to deliver funding and resources directly so community members can lead impactful projects in their local areas.
This community fund initiative is part of Amazon's broader commitment to support the communities where it operates infrastructure. Amazon has launched 47 funds in multiple countries in partnership with ChangeX, providing more than $6 million to over 810 community projects.
Applications are accepted starting today. The submission deadline is Dec. 13. ChangeX, together with Amazon, will review applications and assess them based on funding criteria and their positive impact on the community. If selected in the first round by applying with a verified innovative idea, applicants will complete a 30-day challenge to achieve designated activities as the first step toward project execution. The final decision on subsidies will be announced on Jan. 28, 2026.

Park added, "We look forward to innovative project ideas from Incheon's dynamic community."
