LG Uplus said on the 12th that the number of participations in its membership program "U+2+" (launched in April last year) has surpassed a cumulative 15 million. U+2+ is a program that provides subscribers with benefits such as discount coupons across various areas including shopping, food and beverage, and culture.
CGV was the most popular partner on U+2+, followed by Compose Coffee and Daiso. By age group, teens mainly used Lotte Cinema and Ocean World; people in their 20s used Millie's library and Baemin; and people in their 30s used No Brand and Mad for Garlic.
Currently, 47 partner companies are participating in U+2+. This month, eight new partners were added. It is offering a variety of benefits, including a 55% discount on Seoul Land park admission, a 15% discount on Klook Japan hotels, up to 30,000 won off domestic and overseas accommodations on Yanolja Global, up to 40% off for up to four people at water parks, a 10,000 won discount on the first Uber ride and the existing 50% discount.
LG Uplus formed a partnership with Starbucks last month and, to mark the occasion, is also running the "Starlight Invitation" event through the 28th, offering items such as a 300,000-won Shinsegae gift certificate.
Jang Jun-young, head of marketing strategy at LG Uplus, said, "We prepared monthly membership promotion benefits as practical perks for everyday life, with the intent to reward customers who have been with LG Uplus for a long time."
