Global cloud corporations Amazon Web Services (AWS) will unveil cases of industry innovation achieved with generative artificial intelligence (AI).
According to AWS on the 10th, AWS AI x Industry Week 2025 will be held from the 14th to the 16th at The Platz in COEX, Samseong-dong, Seoul. There, AWS will showcase cloud-based advanced technologies and industry-specific success stories under the theme of AI innovation and future technologies that open new business opportunities across industry boundaries.
The event will spotlight the rapidly spreading trend of using generative AI on industrial sites. It reflects the recent shift in Korea across diverse industries—manufacturing, retail, finance, fintech (a portmanteau of finance and technology), software, and the internet—from automation to autonomy, and further to decision-making based on generative AI.
For example, in manufacturing, predictive maintenance technology that uses generative AI to forecast equipment or system failures and respond proactively is spreading. AI is also being widely used for process optimization to boost production efficiency. In finance and fintech, AI-based personalized services and sophisticated risk management have taken root as core strategies, and in retail and internet industries, attempts continue to use AI to improve customer experience and seek new business models.
AWS plans to showcase a range of core AI technologies at the event in line with these industry trends. Notable offerings include: ◇ Amazon Bedrock ◇ Strands Agents ◇ Amazon Bedrock AgentCore.
Amazon Bedrock provides a foundation for safely using a variety of generative AI models, and Strands Agents is an open-source software development kit (SDK) that supports building and running AI agents. Amazon Bedrock AgentCore connects internal data and AI models through memory, governance, and tool integration functions to automate real-world workflows.
AWS technologies are realizing a variety of innovations on real industrial sites. A representative case is Doosan Digital Innovation BU (DDI)'s generative AI predictive maintenance solution EDS (Equipment Diagnostics Service). Using AWS Internet of Things (IoT) and big data technologies, it collects and analyzes equipment data such as vibration and temperature, and detects equipment failures in advance through Bedrock-based generative AI reports. It also links an AI chatbot to improve efficiency in equipment status analysis, troubleshooting, and operations and maintenance.
Vision AI corporations Superb AI's Superb VA is also a generative AI video control platform based on AWS technologies. It can automatically detect anomalies using only closed-circuit (CC) TV footage and search or summarize scenes in natural language. It also uses 3D digital twin technology to analyze entire spaces in three dimensions, manage congestion, and prevent accidents, improving safety and operational efficiency in a variety of settings such as airports and smart cities.
Fintech corporations Finger is providing investors with tailored insights through its exchange-traded fund (ETF) intelligence service FinGo. The service applies Agentic RAG, a generative AI technology that searches and uses data, enabling investors to quickly and accurately compare and analyze the information they want. Based on a technology stack composed of Amazon OpenSearch, AWS S3, MariaDB, Amazon API Gateway, and Amazon EC2, it has built a fast and secure data analysis environment. This has increased user engagement across web and mobile.
Media and entertainment corporations Supertone expanded its AI voice service domain by building cloud-based technology that generates high-quality synthetic speech for global customers. The platform currently supports more than 150 diverse voice styles and, with an easily integrable structure, provides more than 10 voice generation services. By reducing technical complexity on AWS infrastructure, Supertone has been able to rapidly develop new features for creators and corporate clients and improve service quality.
An AWS official said, "AWS AI x Industry Week 2025, held at COEX for three days from the 14th to the 16th, is an on-site event where visitors can directly experience AI innovation by industry," adding, "About 60 sessions and demos will be held around five industries—gaming, manufacturing, retail, software, and finance—so visitors can see a wide range of customer innovation cases at a glance."
