The Ministry of Science and ICT said on the 9th that, together with the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), it will support a record number of 30 domestic blockchain corporations to take part in the Middle East's largest information technology (IT) expo, "GITEX."
The Ministry of Science and ICT and KISA began a program last year to support the overseas expansion of domestic blockchain corporations, pursuing joint project discovery with international organizations, support for participation in global investment attraction events and exhibitions, and the establishment of cooperation channels with related overseas institutions.
In Jul. last year, they connected the Madagascar government with domestic blockchain corporations, and in Jul. this year, they arranged an investor relations (IR) event with "Shinhan Futures Lab Japan," the startup incubation program of Shinhan Financial Group, to promote entry into the Japanese market.
At the Japan event, seven domestic blockchain corporations and 24 Japanese local institutions and corporations, including Line Yahoo, Japan's largest telecom KDDI, and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), took part, leading to 17 sales contracts and discussions on pursuing proof of concept (PoC).
At GITEX, the Middle East IT expo set for the 13th, an IR demo day, investor meetings, and export consultations have been planned.
