Nexus said on the 9th that it signed a partnership with the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) 8th and discussed strategic cooperation plans to expand the blockchain and gaming ecosystems.
Through this partnership, as a DMCC gaming ecosystem cooperation partner, Nexus will push ahead with: ▲ operating onboarding and acceleration programs for game studios ▲ funding for Web3 and artificial intelligence (AI) startups and consolidation to a global investment network ▲ attracting global partners, including in Asia ▲ co-hosting events such as hackathons and seminars.
In line with this, DMCC will carry out: ▲ granting the status of gaming ecosystem cooperation partner and joint marketing ▲ networking support with government, investors, exchanges, and incubators ▲ providing publishing and market entry guidance for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region ▲ support for facilities and infrastructure, including office space in Uptown Tower, the landmark building of DMCC in Dubai.
In particular, Nexus established its local corporation "Nexus Hub FZCO" in Dubai in April and is accelerating its push into global markets such as the Middle East and Europe. DMCC is one of the largest free trade zones in the world, home to more than 24,000 corporations, and is a key institution for building Dubai into a global trade and investment hub.
Jang Hyun-kuk, CEO of Nexus, said, "Dubai is similar to what the Cross ecosystem pursues in that it builds structural, systematic, and scalable market demand," adding, "Through this cooperation, we will realize a virtuous cycle in which startups, game studios, and global partners grow together."
Ahmed Hamza, head of DMCC Free Zone, said, "Korea's game industry is among the largest in the world and leads global content exports, and Dubai is rapidly emerging as a new strategic hub of the digital economy," adding, "Through this partnership with Nexus, DMCC will serve as a bridge consolidating the two innovation ecosystems and establish a platform that provides Korean corporations with immediate business opportunities and long-term value."
