Epic Games said on the 1st that it released the latest version of Twinmotion, "Twinmotion 2025.2."
Twinmotion is a real-time 3D visualization solution based on Unreal Engine 5, used across various industries including architecture, film and TV, automotive, and product design. In this version, new features have been added, including ▲ Nanite virtualized geometry ▲ parallax windows ▲ animated fog cards ▲ enhanced rendering and animation features ▲ virtual camera (VCam) ▲ improved material management.
In particular, "Nanite," a feature of Unreal Engine 5, has been introduced, enabling the use of complex, ultra-high-resolution meshes while maintaining real-time performance. With this feature, assets can be used immediately without optimization during import, and Megascans 3D assets, 3D plants, and Sketchfab assets can also be converted.
The "parallax window" feature supports simulating interior spaces by simply placing it on exterior surfaces without window modeling, and the "animated fog card" has been added to easily implement fog effects.
Rendering features have also been revamped to apply various styles such as hatching, filtering, and sketch effects, and it is now possible to import lookup tables (LUTs). In addition, options related to motion blur have been added to improve usability for simulation and video production.
In animation features, various convenience tools have been added, including "exploder," which lets you stage by disassembling and moving objects, "stagger offset," which enables sequential movement, and linkage with the sequencer tool.
This version also newly supports placing a virtual camera using a handheld device. This allows a cinematographer or visualization specialist to adjust the camera viewpoint directly. In addition, material management has been improved to enable search, sorting, and batch editing.
Other additions include camera synchronization, batch export of configurations, 3D grass, panorama sets, and a tessellation option for Alias (.wire) files.
Meanwhile, Epic Games Korea plans to hold a webinar at 2 p.m. on Oct. 21 to mark the release of Twinmotion 2025.2. The webinar will showcase key features and introduce the updates.
