Genians said on the 1st that it signed a master distributor agreement with Etiverse, a security distribution specialist, for a newly developed "anti-virus" solution.
With this agreement, the two companies plan to expand the supply of Genians' anti-virus solution to public and private markets. They said they will leverage Etiverse's partner support program and nationwide distribution network to make a full-fledged push into the market.
Etiverse serves as the domestic official master distributor of global vendor solutions in cloud, security, and artificial intelligence (AI), and provides systems integration services, leading the digital transformation of corporations and public institutions. Recently, it has strengthened innovation by diversifying into technology areas such as real-time data, AI, cloud, and security.
Etiverse plans to more broadly supply Genians' core solutions to the domestic market and roll out security enhancement campaigns for customers across various industries. In particular, synergy is expected from combining Genians' technological capabilities, which can support integrated security operations against increasingly sophisticated critical server attacks, advanced persistent threats, ransomware, and insider threats, with Etiverse's distribution and sales strengths.
Genians' anti-virus solution provides signature-based malware detection and automatic remediation. Through the "log collection and analysis function," it enables intuitive identification of items such as ▲ intrusion paths ▲ attacker behavior ▲ incident causes.
Through this master distributor agreement, Etiverse will sell not only anti-virus but also endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions and network access control (NAC) products in parallel. It plans to expand the market by highlighting security visibility and operational efficiency gained through product integration as key strengths.
When customers adopt both anti-virus and EDR, they can build a multilayered defense system in which known malware is immediately blocked by anti-virus, and unknown, sophisticated attacks are detected, analyzed, and responded to by EDR. When NAC is adopted together, items such as ▲ threat IP, platform, and user information ▲ real-time network access status can be viewed at a glance on an integrated management screen, enabling a unified security operations environment that connects from endpoints to the network.
Chief Executive Lee Dong-beom of Genians said, "Etiverse's extensive distribution network and partner support capabilities will greatly help Genians gain a foothold in the anti-virus market," adding, "We will provide customers with a more intuitive and efficient security operations environment through an integrated security strategy linked with EDR and NAC."
Chief Executive Kim Beom-su of Etiverse said, "The combination of Genians' proven technology and Etiverse's distribution and support capabilities will create great value in the domestic security market," adding, "We will enhance customer satisfaction and strengthen business competitiveness through co-growth with partner companies."
