Going forward, Naver Plus Membership members will be able to use Uber Taxi's monthly subscription service "Uber One" free for 12 months. Uber Taxi said on the 1st that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Naver to this effect.
Launched in early last month in the Korean market, "Uber One" is a 4,900 won-per-month subscription membership service aimed at passengers who frequently use taxis. "Uber One" subscribers can earn up to 10% of their Uber Taxi fare as "Uber One Credit" to use on their next ride, and enjoy exclusive benefits such as priority dispatch of highly rated drivers.
With the companies' collaboration, any Naver Plus Membership member can use the Uber One service free for 12 months. An Uber Taxi promotion coupon worth up to 10,000 won will also be provided.
An Uber Taxi official said, "We are pleased to offer Naver Plus Membership members the opportunity to experience Uber Taxi's differentiated mobility service," and added, "Through this partnership, we expect to secure more users to strengthen our growth momentum and provide stable revenue opportunities to drivers, who are Uber Taxi's key partners."
