Disruptions continued as services provided by telecom companies were partially suspended due to the fallout from the fire at the National Information Resources Service.
According to the telecom industry on the 29th, telecom companies including SK Telecom, KT, and LG Uplus faced disruptions in providing services such as public MyData authentication for bundled applications like mobile phone plans, as government data became difficult to access because of the incident.
KT said on the 27th via a notice on its website that some services on KT.com and the My KT app provided by the management agency were suspended, including finding a delivery address when ordering products and public MyData authentication when applying for bundled services such as mobile phones.
It added, "We will work to resume services as soon as recovery is completed at the management agency."
LG Uplus said that public MyData authentication for bundled discount applications was affected by the incident but has now been restored. However, it said the service for verifying the authenticity of resident ID card photos has not yet been restored.
SKT explained that its electronic document wallet service was affected but is now operating normally. It added that some certificate services remain suspended as certain government agencies conduct their own inspections.
