SK hynix said on the 26th that it will make early payments of about 265.5 billion won in transaction proceeds to 506 partner companies ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
The company said, "We decided to make early payments of transaction proceeds to ease partners' funding burdens ahead of the holiday and to help their members celebrate a bountiful holiday," adding, "We express our gratitude to partners who are overcoming the difficult global competitive environment together, and we will continue to do our best to build a co-growth ecosystem as a key partner in the AI industry."
The company expected that this early payment would go beyond simple financial support to lead to greater organizational stability and job satisfaction among partner companies. It viewed that such win-win cooperation would serve as a foundation for building an even stronger partnership based on mutual trust, enabling sustainable growth together.
Earlier, SK hynix increased the number of transaction payment cycles from three to four per month starting in 2020 to support partners. The company is also operating a co-growth fund totaling about 360 billion won, including about 340 billion won in a low-interest co-growth fund and about 20 billion won in a fund that supports inter-partner supply payments interest-free, to support partners' stable business operations.
Kim Seong-han, SK hynix vice president (in charge of procurement), said, "To ensure SK hynix continues its leadership in the AI memory market, it is critical to maintain strong bonds with our partners," adding, "We will further strengthen the competitiveness required in the AI era through trust and co-prosperity with our partners."
