LG Display said on the 25th that it hosted the "2025 safety and health forum" at its business sites in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, to prevent serious industrial accidents and strengthen win-win cooperation.
The forum featured an invited lecture by Ulsan College Professor Kim Young-gyu on building tailored safety and health systems for small and midsize business sites and on the new administration's safety and health policies.
LG Display also shared the progress of its in-house "safety support activities," safety consulting for partner companies, and its "safety education activities" for partner executives and employees. Since 2023, LG Display has provided consulting to a cumulative 146 companies, including partner firms engaged in high-risk work. Safety education using LG Display's in-house infrastructure began in 2021, and about 18,000 partner executives and employees have taken part to date.
LG Display plans to actively support practical, on-site prevention policies and corporation-tailored education by strengthening cooperation with the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, and private expert institutions so that partner workers can work in a safer environment.
Lee Young-han, CEO of partner company Sinerstech, who attended the forum, said, "By participating in LG Display's safety and health improvement win-win program for partner companies, we are receiving great help in safety management, including establishing our own safety system and complying with the work environment."
Kim Sung-hee, LG Display's chief safety and environment officer (CSEO), said, "We aim to establish a safety and health management system across the entire supply chain by placing the highest value on safety and health and communicating closely with partner companies," adding, "We will provide multifaceted support so that partners can establish and embed self-sustaining safety systems."
