WEBZEN said it will officially launch the new MMORPG "R2 ORIGIN (Reign of Revolution ORIGIN, R2 Origin)" at 8 p.m. on the 25th.
Pre-downloads are available on Google Play, Apple App Store, and the official brand site until the launch. After launch, users can choose their preferred server and character to log in, and participants in the pre-registration and character name reservation events will have a character automatically created with the pre-applied server and character name.
"R2 ORIGIN" is a new title developed with Unreal Engine 5 from WEBZEN's online game "R2," dealing with the stories of heroes set in R2's parallel world. Users begin the game as disciples of the ancient being Netis.
WEBZEN is holding several events to mark the launch. They include the "Level achievement event," which grants transformation and servant summoning tickets upon reaching certain levels; the "Special attendance event," which offers login rewards; and the "Traveler Pass event," which grants mission completion rewards. The official community verification event and a PC café cumulative play rewards event will also run.
