Samsung Electronics said on the 25th that it will hold the running event "Galaxy Watch Run @Safari" at Everland on Oct. 19.
Galaxy Watch Run @Safari is an event where participants wear the Galaxy Watch8 series and run a course at Everland that includes ▲ Lost Valley ▲ Safari World ▲ Rose Garden, experiencing various functions of the Galaxy Watch.
Registration will be available on Samsung.com from 10 a.m. on the 26th to 10 a.m. on the 29th. Anyone age 14 or older can apply with up to one companion, and participation is free. Through a drawing, 300 winners will be announced on Oct. 1.
This Galaxy Watch Run @Safari is designed with a fun run concept focused on experience and enjoyment rather than rankings. The running course will be 4.82 km, a number that sounds similar to "safari," allowing participants to run without pressure.
Participants can experience a special course that lets them run directly through Lost Valley and Safari World, where they previously could meet wildlife only by riding in vehicles.
Participants who own the Galaxy Watch8 series can complete several missions using the Galaxy Watch's AI features and enjoy an even more distinctive running event.
For participants who do not own a Galaxy Watch, the Galaxy Watch8 series will be provided on-site through lending.
At the starting point, participants will depart after using voice commands with "Gemini," installed on the Galaxy Watch for the first time, to start running in Samsung Health.
Former national marathoner Coach Kwon Eun-ju, who served as an advisor for the development of the Galaxy Watch8 series running coach, will also attend the event.
