Riot Games said on the 24th that it has revealed the Early Access schedule for "2XKO." "2XKO" is a versus fighting game developed using the "League of Legends (LoL)" intellectual property (IP).
Early Access begins on Oct. 8. This phase adds a new champion and a "link training" mode for practicing combos, along with a battle pass, a ranked system, and balance adjustments. Cosmetic items unlocked after Early Access will not be reset.
Starting with this Early Access (season 0), 2XKO plans to run a total of five seasons from 2026. Each season will include a new champion and a battle pass, and players can enjoy the game without applying for separate codes.
Tom Cannon, executive producer of 2XKO, said, "We thank players around the world who participated in the 2XKO closed beta," and added, "We look forward to showcasing an improved 2XKO through Early Access."
Riot Games runs the "First Impact" program to invigorate the fighting game community. Through the program, it will provide prize bonuses and additional rewards, and sponsor 22 online and offline community tournaments across the Americas, Europe, and Asia through the end of 2025.
The first First Impact tournament will be held at EVO France from Oct. 10 to 12, and in Korea, the "SOOP Super Tournament" is scheduled for Nov. 1 to 2.
Michael Sherman, head of competitive play for 2XKO, said, "Community tournaments are the foundation of fighting games and the core of 2XKO," adding, "We will energize the community through First Impact tournaments."
