NHN Bugs said on the 23rd that it has released the dedicated app "essential; (Essential)," which lets users enjoy emotional music curation in the Kia PV5.
The newly introduced Essential app can be downloaded from the Pleos App Market, operated by 42dot, which is leading Hyundai Motor Group's transition to software-defined vehicles (SDV).
The Essential app is characterized by features that consider both driver safety and the mood of the driving space. Even without selecting a specific track, it automatically recommends stylish music tailored to the purpose and situation, and it also supports a "listen again" feature that lets users easily play recently listened playlists. It also enhances user convenience with a "Free Essential" feature that lets users preview the playlist vibe before purchasing a pass.
An NHN Bugs official said, "While prioritizing driver safety, we have prepared specialized features to emotionally complete the atmosphere of the Kia PV5 space," adding, "We will continue to roll out the Essential app for various in-vehicle infotainment systems and expand the realm of emotional curation services that can be enjoyed while driving."
Meanwhile, NHN Bugs is also offering the Essential app through the third-generation MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) in Mercedes-Benz, and via the BMW·MINI AppStore within the infotainment systems for BMW and MINI vehicles.
