Nexon said on the 23rd that it has begun pre-sales for ARC Raiders, a new PvPvE (player-versus-player-versus-environment) survival title in development at its subsidiary Embark Studios, and that it will hold a "server slam" to check server stability before launch.
The newly released trailer follows a group of "Raiders" exploring the surface and carrying out requests from the NPC "Apollo." It depicts various situations players can experience in ARC Raiders, such as teaming up with another "Raider" they happen to encounter, running into the quadrupedal medium "ARC" called "Bison," or engaging other groups. It also shows new weapons and ARCs, and the video ends by revealing pre-sale details and the "server slam" schedule.
Pre-sales are available across all PC and console platforms, including Steam, the Epic Games Store, PlayStation, and Xbox. Players can choose between Standard and Deluxe editions. Both editions include the "Lucky Duck" bundle, which features a bag and a rubber duck bag charm, when pre-purchased. The Deluxe edition, in particular, adds a range of cosmetic items such as a legendary outfit, bag, charm, and a skin for the companion rooster "Kkoko," along with a pre-purchase exclusive limited "Astro" bundle set.
Nexon also announced the public "server slam" schedule, the final check of server stability before launch. The "server slam," featuring limited content, will run on all platforms for three days from Oct. 17 to 19. Anyone can participate without restriction, and participants will receive a limited bag skin reward at launch.
ARC Raiders is set on the post-apocalyptic surface "Rust Belt," ruled by the massive mechanical lifeforms known as ARCs. It is a PvPvE survival action game in which players become "Raiders," secure resources, and seek survival through cooperation and competition. A second technical test was held on May 2 to showcase the gameplay. The official launch is coming via cloud streaming.
