The Personal Information Protection Commission said on the 22nd that, together with Seoul Technopark, it will carry out the 2025 support program for personal information protection technology development.
The program was prepared to ease the difficulties of small and startup companies that have or are developing personal information protection and utilization technologies, and to promote the spread of those technologies. Support will proceed in two areas: ▲ technology development ▲ market development.
In the technology development area, up to three expert consultations per corporation will be provided, and performance evaluation and verification will be supported for personal information protection and utilization prototypes. It will also offer commercialization strategies and procurement and certification response plans through technology commercialization consulting, and verify functions and performance in real operating environments through prototype demonstrations.
In the market development area, a "Tech Biz Partnering" event will be held, divided into public and private sectors, to support collaboration between technology-holding corporations and demand-side entities. The public sector will provide matching for entry into the procurement market, while the private sector will promote strategic cooperation between small companies and mid-sized and large corporations. In addition, to strengthen investment attraction capabilities, it will offer IR consulting, mock IR presentations, and investment counseling sessions.
Small and startup companies related to personal information protection and utilization technologies may apply to multiple programs at the same time, and applications received will be reviewed, with results to be notified individually.
Yun Jong-uk, head of Seoul Technopark, said, "Through this support program, we will enhance the technological competitiveness of small companies in the personal information protection and utilization field and help them enter the market stably."
