Com2uS said on the 18th that it began full service of the large-scale MMORPG "The Starlight," developed by GameTales, for PC and mobile starting at 11 a.m. that day.
"The Starlight" is an MMORPG that follows the journey of chosen heroes in a multiverse where multiple dimensions intertwine, combining a narrative based on executive director Jeong Seong-hwan's novel, visuals by art director Jeong Jun-ho, and music led by producer Nam Gu-min. With Unreal Engine 5-based graphics and strategic combat design, it drew anticipation even before launch.
In the pre-download phase before full service, it proved its appeal by reaching No. 3 on Apple's App Store popular games chart. In addition, the character name reservation event held 4th last month closed within a few hours.
With the launch, six worlds—"Irisia, Rover, Deckard, Silkira, Lainu, and Lance"—and a total of 36 servers opened. The "Rover" world is operated exclusively for streamers, and users who reserved character names in advance can use their reserved IDs as is.
Com2uS is offering various perks to celebrate the launch, including a attendance event, growth support event, hero support event, and pre-registration reward event. Through these, it will provide early gameplay rewards such as rare equipment crafting items, hero-grade avatars and mounts, and summon tickets.
The game can be enjoyed simultaneously on the PC version via the official brand site launcher and on the mobile version via Google Play and Apple's App Store, and it also supports a cross-platform environment and remote play.
