LG Electronics said on the 17th that it recently signed an exclusive home appliance supply contract with the major U.S. builder "Century Communities."
Under the deal, LG Electronics will supply high-efficiency and AI appliances—including refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and ovens—for all of the tens of thousands of new dwellings that "Century Communities" will build in the United States through 2029.
In particular, LG Electronics' dedicated sales and service organization for builders, "LG Pro Builder (builders)," will take the lead and propose and supply customized appliances by comprehensively considering customers' living environments, dwelling structures, terrain, and climate.
LG Electronics plans to boost in-home energy efficiency with high-efficiency appliances certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's "Energy Star," while providing services based on the AI home platform "LG ThinQ AI."
"Century Communities" is a major builder that supplies dwellings and commercial buildings for a wide range of customers across the United States, and is counted among the top 10 builders in the country. Builders are classified as large, medium, or small depending on the scope of the regions where they operate and their revenue size.
The agreement is the second collaboration with a major builder, following "Lennar," the No. 2 builder in the United States last year.
Jeong Kyu-hwang, head of North America at LG Electronics (executive vice president), said, "This is a meaningful achievement that once again proves the superior performance and quality of LG appliances and the brand's credibility," adding, "We will further solidify our position in the U.S. B2B home appliance market going forward."
