HANSSAK said on 17th that it signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Mocomsys, a company specializing in document-centralization solutions, to strengthen the National Network Security Framework (N2SF) initiative.
Under the agreement, the two companies will combine their core technologies—network separation and document centralization—and cooperate on the joint development of N2SF response security features, joint sales and marketing, and the provision of professional training and technical support services. Through this, they plan to proactively respond to demand in the newly opening N2SF market and expand business opportunities in the public and defense sectors.
The N2SF initiative is a next-generation network security policy led by the National Intelligence Service that aims to achieve both security and data usability. It classifies government computer networks into classified, sensitive, and open tiers based on the importance of tasks and data, and applies different security control items accordingly. The key is to move away from uniform management and establish customized security policies tailored to the level of importance.
In line with this new policy direction, the two companies plan to integrate HANSSAK's network separation solution with Mocomsys's document-centralization system to jointly develop integrated security functions optimized for N2SF. They will focus on implementing an advanced N2SF security framework that goes beyond simple technical combination to cover data classification and tagging, tier-based management, and secure transmission.
HANSSAK provides stable network operations through safe data transfer and monitoring and logging in network-separation environments, while Mocomsys enhances both security and management efficiency by applying approval and payment procedures and purpose-based tier classification during data transmission and reception. They also actively respond to the recent surge in ransomware and various cyberattack threats. By linking network-separation-based defense technologies with automatic backup and recovery functions of a central repository, they establish an environment that can quickly restore operations even in the event of malware infection, ensuring business continuity.
Mocomsys CEO Kim In-su said, "Through this partnership, we will introduce a document-centralization integrated solution with enhanced security and further raise the completeness of our security services to provide customers with a more stable and reliable security environment."
HANSSAK CEO Lee Ju-do said, "By combining the core technologies of both companies, we expect to strengthen the competitiveness of N2SF-related products and secure new market leadership through business synergy," adding, "We will expand our business not only in the public sector with stringent security requirements but also into finance and the private sector."
