SK hynix will hire new employees in the second half of this year. Starting with this hiring round, the company will introduce an artificial intelligence (AI)-based process to secure talent befitting the status of an "AI corporations."
According to the industry on the 16th, SK hynix will accept applications for the second-half 2025 new hires from the 22nd to Oct. 1.
Eligible applicants are those scheduled to graduate with a four-year bachelor's degree or higher, or those who have already graduated, and can join in Jan.–Feb. next year. Work locations are Icheon and Bundang in Gyeonggi, Cheongju in North Chungcheong, and Seoul. The hiring scale is in the triple digits, and the positions include design, device, research and development (R&D) process, and mass-production technology.
Starting with this year's hiring, the company will introduce an AI-based video interview process, "A! SK" (AI Interview with SK Hynix), so applicants can fully demonstrate their capabilities. In this process, AI generates job-specific questions tailored to each role. Applicants can highlight communication skills, basic job knowledge, teamwork, and situational response abilities that are hard to show in a cover letter alone.
The format will be conducted the same way as the SKCT (SK Competency Test), an aptitude test: answering questions online in a non-face-to-face environment and submitting recorded video responses.
The submitted videos will undergo a 360-degree evaluation by team members who will work together after hiring, a plan aimed at increasing fairness and objectivity.
Final selections are expected to be made after candidates who pass the document screening take the SKCT and A! SK in the aptitude stage and then go through interviews in late Nov.
SK hynix drew attention for its exceptional performance bonuses and, in a survey of job seekers by Incruit in Jul., topped the list of "corporations people want to work for" for the first time, beating Samsung Electronics. If SK hynix posts an operating profit of 37 trillion won this year as the market expects, the performance bonus per employee will reach about 100 million won.
SK hynix plans to hold recruitment briefings at 12 major hub universities nationwide. At the briefing held the previous day at Pohang University of Science and Technology POSTECH (POSTECH), interest was reportedly so strong that questions from job seekers continued for about three hours during a separate Q&A session.
A SK hynix official said, "In the future, AI will evolve beyond generating questions into an 'AI agent' that comprehensively assesses applicants' capabilities," adding, "We plan to secure talent in a way befitting our status as a 'full-stack AI memory provider' (a comprehensive AI memory supplier)."
