LG Electronics said on the 14th that it has formed a partnership with the National Football League (NFL) Baltimore Ravens and will supply extra-large digital signage to the team's home stadium, M&T Bank Stadium.
By next season, LG Electronics plans to install a total of 1,115m² of ultra-high-definition displays on the central scoreboard and in all directions—east, west, south, and north—of the stands to boost immersion in the game. In particular, a new extra-large display about 65 meters long will be created at the entry gates, which is expected to become a symbol of the stadium.
More than 100 LG TVs will be placed along movement routes such as the concourses inside the stadium, allowing fans to watch game highlights from anywhere. After the season ends, a 215m² mesh LED display will be installed on the exterior wall, and a high-resolution screen will be added to the outdoor plaza, with plans to build one of the NFL's top stadium environments.
M&T Bank Stadium is a large venue that can accommodate about 71,000 people, and, together with LG Electronics' innovative technology, it is set to establish itself as a local sports and cultural space. LG Electronics will also run a monthly "Most Reliable Player" event for local fans.
On 3, LG Electronics supplied an 842m² integrated display solution to Fenway Park, the home of the Boston Red Sox, and installed a 141m² ribbon board at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, strengthening its push into the commercial display market at major North American venues.
