Nexon said on the 12th that it has set up a permanent PC bang, Maple Agit (MAPLE AGIT), near Gangnam Station in Seoul using the MapleStory intellectual property (IP) and will hold a Special Open event from Oct. 18 to Nov. 2.
Maple Agit is a MapleStory-themed PC bang with a total of 181 seats and about 200 pyeong in size. Following Cafe MapleStory, which opened in Jul. at the Nexon Computer Museum in Jeju, it is the second flagship space and will expand user touchpoints and offline experiences by being located near Gangnam Station, which offers excellent accessibility. From Nov. 3, after the Special Open period operated by reservation, general visitors can use it freely.
For the Special Open, popular creators including Pangiyo, Segulja, Myeongyehunjang, and Cheongmyo will take part directly to plan and run the PC bang opening events, and related content will be released through the MapleStory YouTube channel and official website. Tickets for membership code holders will be sold via Ticketlink at 7 p.m. on Oct. 2 for the first batch and 7 p.m. on Oct. 16 for the second batch. Membership codes will be issued starting Sept. 18 to users whose representative MapleStory character is level 270 or higher.
To commemorate the opening of Maple Agit, Nexon plans to donate the full amount—summing ticket and food-and-beverage sales during the Special Open period and the cumulative views of on-site live broadcasts—in the name of MapleStory users to the Nexon Children's Integrated Care Center Dotori House.
