NHN said on the 12th that it launched a Dokdo donation event in its mobile game Hangame Seotda & Matgo ahead of Dokdo Day (Oct. 25).
Hangame Seotda & Matgo runs clubs (guilds) based on real place names and offers top-tier, guild-exclusive content that symbolically reflects Dokdo, including Dokdo defense battle and Dokdo alliance siege battle. Dokdo defense battle is content in which 10 top-tier guilds compete for a total prize of 10 trillion jeon, with the top-ranked guild earning up to 3 trillion jeon as a defense prize. The subsequent Dokdo alliance siege battle has up to five guilds forming an alliance to compete on a large scale, and a win grants Dokdo revenue and Dokdo items.
The Dokdo donation event was prepared to let users enjoy the game while sharing interest in and affection for Dokdo. When a Dokdo donation product is purchased, 10% of the amount is accrued and donated to the Korea Dokdo Association. The product consists of 6.1 billion jeon in game money and a Dokdo hwatu card set usable for 30 days, and buyers will also receive a special item on Oct. 23. The event runs through Oct. 10.
