Netmarble said on the 10th that it successfully showcased the action RPG new title <Mongil: STAR DIVE> at IFA 2025 in collaboration with Samsung Electronics.
IFA 2025 is one of the world's largest electronics trade shows held in Berlin, Germany, from Sept. 5 to 9. Netmarble, following the global game expo Gamescom 2025 held last month, conducted an on-site demonstration of <Mongil: STAR DIVE> at IFA together with Samsung Electronics.
At the Samsung Electronics booth set up at the venue, visitors were able to experience <Mongil: STAR DIVE> directly through the glasses-free 3D gaming monitor Odyssey 3D. The Odyssey 3D is a monitor that provides a 3D gaming experience without separate 3D glasses, equipped with eye tracking and view mapping technologies to deliver an optimized 3D environment for gamers.
Netmarble and Samsung Electronics have continued various technical collaborations since Gamescom to implement a play environment optimized for the Odyssey 3D. In particular, cutscenes and combat action in <Mongil: STAR DIVE>, developed with Unreal Engine 5, were rendered three-dimensionally in the 3D environment and received positive responses from attendees. One attendee said, "I experienced the combat scenes on the Odyssey 3D, and thanks to the 3D depth it felt vividly like entering the world of the game."
A Netmarble official said, "Following Gamescom, we were able to successfully showcase <Mongil: STAR DIVE> at IFA in collaboration with Samsung Electronics," and added, "We are making extensive efforts to provide optimized play environments across various Samsung Electronics devices, and we will actively reflect users' opinions to further raise the game's completeness before release."
A Samsung Electronics official said, "Through collaboration with Netmarble, playing <Mongil: STAR DIVE> in 3D mode on the Odyssey 3D lets you enjoy a carefully adjusted three-dimensional experience tailored to characters, backgrounds and scene characteristics," and added, "We will continue to expand collaboration for joint development of 3D modes for various games to deliver immersion only the Odyssey 3D can provide."
Meanwhile, <Mongil: STAR DIVE> is the sequel to the mobile collectible RPG Monster Taming, released in 2013, and features Unreal Engine 5–based direction and three-person party real-time combat tag action. The game aims for a global release this fall on PC and mobile multi-platforms and is currently accepting pre-registrations. Netmarble plans to also showcase <Mongil: STAR DIVE> at Tokyo Game Show 2025, which opens in Japan on Sept. 25.
