LG Electronics' transparent organic light-emitting diode (OLED) TV won the top honor of 'Best of IFA' at the 'IFA 2025 Innovation Awards' held on the 5th (local time) in Berlin, Germany. In addition to the top award, LG Electronics received a total of 17 awards across various institutional sectors.
This year marks the 101st anniversary of the largest home appliance exhibition in Europe, IFA, which established the IFA Innovation Awards to celebrate product innovation and marketability on the global stage. Awards are determined based on evaluations of innovation, technology, design, and market impact among the products submitted by about 1,800 corporations participating in IFA 2025.
The 'LG Signature OLED T', selected as the Best of IFA, is the world's first wireless and transparent TV that integrates the most advanced TV technologies, highlighting the strengths of OLED, including picture quality, transparent screen, space utilization, and wireless transmission solutions. This product also won the best award in the home entertainment institutional sector, achieving two honors.
LG Electronics received five best awards in four institutional sectors including ▲mobility ▲accessibility improvement ▲home appliances ▲home entertainment, and 11 excellence awards in four institutional sectors including ▲home appliances ▲design ▲smart home ▲home entertainment.
The 'Spielraum', which won the best award in the mobility institutional sector, is LG Electronics' AI mobility space solution. Meaning 'play space' in German, LG Electronics showcased the expanded 'LG AI Home', which connects home and mobility using 'LG ThinQ On' at this year's booth.
The Europe-exclusive 'LG Comfort Kit' has won the best award in the accessibility improvement institutional sector. The LG Comfort Kit is a self-developed accessory that allows all customers to conveniently use home appliances, regardless of gender, age, or disability.
In the home appliance institutional sector, the 'AI-enabled dishwasher', which detects contamination and automatically sets cleaning courses, and the 'microplastic filter', which filters out microplastics from synthetic fibers during washing, as well as the 'LG Signature OLED T', which won the best award in the home entertainment institutional sector.
LG Electronics unveiled new products at this IFA, including ▲a built-in robot vacuum cleaner, ▲a wet and dry wireless stick vacuum cleaner that can simultaneously vacuum dust and liquids while mopping, ▲the LG WashTower, which combines the washer and dryer in a tower format, and ▲the LG WashCombo, which completes washing and drying with just one button, all of which received excellence awards in the home appliance institutional sector.
Additionally, LG Electronics received excellence awards in the smart home institutional sector for ▲a freestanding robot vacuum cleaner, in the design institutional sector for ▲the LG washer and dryer pair, ▲the LG dishwasher, ▲the LG massage chair, and ▲the LG Styler Mini, and in the home entertainment institutional sector for ▲the LG wireless OLED TV (M5) and ▲the LG StanbyME2.
