NEOWIZ announced on the 5th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with T1, a global esports team, to discover new business ventures and foster talent through the 'T1 Esports Academy' (hereinafter T1A).
This agreement focuses on integrating NEOWIZ's development expertise into T1A's specialized training programs. NEOWIZ will offer internship opportunities to T1A students and will seek to collaboratively explore new business models utilizing esports, including global marketing cooperation.
T1A is a professional training institution operated by the prestigious global team T1, aiming to cultivate talent across the esports industry while training professional gamers. Former and current professional gamers and coaching staff participate as instructors, providing education that reflects real-world experiences, and support the technical and mental growth of students based on the T1 youth system. Additionally, the 'Path to Esports' (PTE) program is also in operation to assist young people in building their esports careers.
The two companies plan to collaborate in various fields through this agreement, including ▲support for esports education programs ▲marketing cooperation to expand the reach of esports ▲discovery of new business ventures based on esports ▲information exchange for course development and reform. Discussions related to new gaming businesses are also expected to continue in the future.
Choi Woo-hyuk, brand director at NEOWIZ, said, "We will lead the development of the esports and gaming industries and the growth of talent simultaneously through our collaboration with T1A." Choi Won-jun, head of T1A, noted, "We will do our best to achieve results in various aspects, including education and practical connection, and marketing collaboration."
Meanwhile, NEOWIZ has been operating a game talent development program in cooperation with Sejong University since 2021, and has been continuing its support activities for young talents by hosting 'Goryeonjeon Game Dev 2025' with game development clubs from Korea University and Yonsei University.
