Samsung Electronics announced on the 5th that it showcased a large media facade embodying the 'AI Home' vision with world-renowned digital artist Maotic at Europe's largest home appliance exhibition, IFA 2025.
Maotic is a digital artist from France and a globally recognized generative artist who presents immersive visual works based on data and algorithms. His artwork transforms natural phenomena or our living environments into digital language, creating interactive experiences, and has garnered attention on global stages such as Art Basel and Frieze London.
The media facade is a large display structure measuring over 50 meters wide and 10 meters high, serving as the first gateway to Samsung Electronics' exhibition hall. Samsung Electronics explained that the media facade delivers the vibrant message of 'AI Home' through the combination of architecture and media art rather than merely being an overwhelming structure by size.
The facade's front features six curved screens shaped like Samsung's products and rich lighting effects to enhance immersion. The media art reinterpreted Ambient AI, the goal of AI Home, suggesting that Samsung's AI technology integrates into people's daily lives to create a better life for customers.
AI Home connects various devices throughout the house organically, learning from and understanding the user to provide tailored experiences. The media art unveiled by Samsung Electronics reinterpreted the interaction between data and users as a massive wave generated by countless particles, visualizing the interaction between technology and customers.
Maotic, who collaborated with Samsung Electronics, noted, "This project was an interesting process of embodying the invisible flow of AI into art," and expressed that he metaphorically represented Samsung's AI Home vision, inspired by the flow of wind blowing across the Atlantic, which enables a richer life by permeating into people's daily routines.
