Samsung Electronics unveiled its new products, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S11, on the 4th at the 2025 IFA in Germany. They are set to be officially launched in Korea on the 19th.
According to Samsung Electronics, the Galaxy Tab S11 series offers ▲multimodal artificial intelligence (AI) ▲latest Galaxy AI based on One UI 8 ▲thin and lightweight design ▲upgraded Samsung DeX features.
Kim Jeong-hyun, vice president of Samsung Electronics' MX Division, said, "The Galaxy Tab S11 series is a premium tablet that combines AI and hardware innovation to provide a true multitasking experience."
He also noted, "Users will experience enhanced productivity and creative features through the latest Galaxy AI optimized for large screens."
The Galaxy Tab S11 series provides a multimodal AI experience and a latest Galaxy AI experience optimized for large screens. Multimodal AI can simultaneously understand and process various types of information, including text, images, voice, and video. Users can utilize the enhanced "Gemini Live" to share screens or camera functions in real-time.
Additionally, users can perform tasks requiring the execution of multiple apps with a single command by long-pressing the side button to call the AI agent.
Various AI features optimized for the tablet's large screen are also supported. Users can utilize the "Drawing Assist" feature to convert simple sketches into high-quality images. The generated images can be directly used in Samsung Notes via the "Drag & Drop" feature.
Also, by using "Writing Assist," users can modify the style or tone of sentences according to their purpose. The result can be pasted directly into the Samsung Notes app using the drag-and-drop feature.
It also supports a real-time translation feature based on Circle to Search. Users can execute the Circle to Search function and press the translation button to see the translated screen not only for the current view but also in real-time while scrolling up and down and moving between pages.
A new design of the S Pen has also been introduced. The S Pen will be launched in a new hexagonal design similar to a pencil. Additionally, a conical pen tip has been applied, improving the tilt angle. Through the "Quick Tools" feature, users can instantly access the necessary S Pen functions without moving the pen from their desired location.
Enhanced Samsung DeX features are also supported. Samsung DeX allows users to connect devices to external displays, mice, keyboards, and use them as a portable workstation. The newly applied "Extended Mode" feature enables the tablet's screen to be extended to an external monitor. Users can create up to four "personal virtual workspaces" tailored to their purposes.
The Galaxy Tab S11 series is the first in the Galaxy Tab series to adopt a 3-nanometer process. The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra has improved performance by approximately 24% for the CPU, about 27% for the GPU, and about 33% for the NPU compared to its predecessor.
It is the thinnest among all Galaxy Tabs, measuring 5.1mm. It features a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and supports a maximum brightness of 1600 nits, providing a clear and vivid viewing experience outdoors.
One UI 8, which is being introduced for the first time in the Galaxy Tab S11 series, will be sequentially applied to previous generation devices such as the Galaxy Tab S10 series starting in October.
Samsung Electronics plans to launch the Galaxy Tab S11 series in Korea on the 19th. The Galaxy Tab S11 series will be available in two colors, gray and silver, in both 5G and Wi-Fi models. The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra will be configured with 256GB or 512GB storage with 12GB RAM, and 1TB storage with 16GB RAM, while the Galaxy Tab S11 will have configurations of 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB storage with 12GB RAM.
The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra with 16GB RAM and 1TB model and the Galaxy Tab S11 with 12GB RAM and 512GB model will be available for limited sale only on Samsung.com.
Prices vary depending on memory and storage specifications: the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra ranges from 1,598,300 won to 2,406,800 won, while the Galaxy Tab S11 ranges from 998,800 won to 1,477,300 won.
