Global artificial intelligence (AI) product and research corporation DeepL announced on 4th the release of its autonomous AI agent, "DeepL Agent," designed to streamline and automate various internal tasks. Currently, a beta test is underway with select customers, and it is expected to be commercially available soon.
Yarek Kutilovski, founder and CEO of DeepL, noted, "DeepL has focused for years on solving complex language-related tasks with AI," adding, "This research foundation will offer strengths in the field of agent-based AI capable of understanding and executing various tasks." He further explained, "DeepL Agent is a secure autonomous AI agent designed to perform repetitive and time-consuming tasks in lieu of the user."
DeepL Agent is designed to independently execute complex workflows according to natural language commands within the user's digital environment. It can virtually implement existing interfaces such as keyboards, browsers, and mice to perform tasks on behalf of users and gradually improves performance while navigating various tools and workflows.
The solution supports not only language-related features, such as multilingual support but also various business functions, including sales, finance, marketing, localization, and human resources. For instance, it can autonomously derive insights for the sales team, automate invoice processing for the finance team, and handle document translation and approval tasks for the localization team.
Stefan Meskens, Chief Scientist at DeepL, said, "DeepL Agent is designed to figure out the rest as long as the user describes the desired actions," adding, "Over time, it will provide increasingly personalized support tailored to users' workflows and needs."
DeepL has established multilayered protective measures to ensure quality and security for this product as well. These include ▲real-time task monitoring tools ▲task pause and review functions ▲Human-in-the-loop (HITL) validation and approval options, which guarantee accuracy and decision-making reliability.
DeepL Agent is currently undergoing beta testing alongside select partners and is expected to be officially launched within the next few months.
