KT Skylife announced on the 3rd that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Journalists Association of Korea (Chairman Park Jong-hyun) for AI broadcasting cooperation on the 2nd.
The signing ceremony took place at the Journalists Association of Korea office, where KT Skylife President Choi Young-beom and Journalists Association of Korea Chairman Park Jong-hyun discussed mutual cooperation measures, including ▲ AI sports broadcasting collaboration and ▲ joint promotional activities.
Under the agreement, KT Skylife will use its AI broadcasting solution "Capture" to cover the "51st Journalists Association of Korea Seoul Regional Soccer Tournament" and the "3rd Women's Member Futsal Tournament." Skylife will support AI technology and infrastructure to provide stable broadcasting services, and the Journalists Association of Korea will cooperate in the AI broadcasting and joint promotion of sports events organized by the association.
KT Skylife invested about 6.8 billion won in the AI broadcasting solution company Hogak last July and has officially entered the "AI sports broadcasting" business. "Capture" is an AI sports broadcasting platform that automates shooting, editing, and broadcasting through AI-based unmanned cameras, allowing customers subscribed to the service to watch real-time sports events anytime and anywhere through the OTT platform "Capture" app.
Choi Young-beom, President of KT Skylife, noted, "This agreement is an important example of how AI technology can be utilized in the sports industry," and said, "We will continue to work with the Journalists Association of Korea to enhance the quality of AI broadcasting services and contribute to revitalizing the domestic sports industry."
