On the 3rd, Kakao Enterprise announced that it has signed a business agreement with the security corporation "CryptoLab" based on homomorphic encryption technology to collaborate in the cloud and security sectors.
The agreement ceremony held the previous day at the Kakao Enterprise office in Pangyo, Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, was attended by representative Jeong-Hee Cheon of CryptoLab, team leader Seon-Cheol Jeong of platform development, team leader Ji-Hoon Ko of business planning, and the head of Kakao Enterprise's cloud division, Jae-Han Lee, along with team leader Yong-Min Jeong of enterprise business.
Homomorphic encryption is a technology that allows computations to be performed while data is encrypted, enabling artificial intelligence (AI) to learn or analyze data without decryption. It can securely process data while maintaining security without exposing the original during real-time personal information processing.
Through this agreement, the two corporations plan to conduct research on homomorphic encryption technology based on Kakao Cloud and promote joint projects for product commercialization.
