LG Electronics announced on the 3rd that it will participate as the official headline partner for the 4th consecutive year at the global art fair 'Frieze Seoul 2025', held at COEX in Seoul from the 3rd to the 6th.
This exhibition will showcase eight paintings from the representative work series 'Ecriture' by the late master of Korean Dansaekhwa, Park Seo-Bo, alongside media art pieces reinterpreted using LG OLED TV.
LG Electronics cross-displayed original works and media art under the theme 'Park Seo-Bo x LG OLED TV: Colors Borrowed from Nature' in the 'LG OLED TV Lounge' set up in Hall D at COEX, Seoul.
LG Electronics installed a total of 16 OLED TVs and 25 'StandbyMe2' devices on-site to digitally reconstruct the world of Park Seo-Bo's artworks. Notably, in the center of the exhibition hall, Professor Park Je-Sung from Seoul National University exhibited large installation art, composed of 97-inch LG OLED Evo displays, featuring media art reinterpreted by AI based on a piece from the 'Ecriture' series inspired by the red autumn leaves.
The 2025 model LG OLED TV has received 'Perfect Black' and 'Perfect Color' certifications from the global certification body UL Solutions, indicating that LG OLED TVs can express colors as they are in bright environments. It has also received certification as a 'comfortable display' from the American eye safety certification body EyeSafe, and achieved the highest 'Perfect' rating in indoor lighting environment quality certification from global testing and certification organization TUV Rheinland, making it the first in the industry.
Oh Hye-Won, executive director of MS Experience Marketing at LG Electronics, noted, 'LG OLED TV accurately realizes the deep black and vibrant color representation produced by self-emissive pixels, embodying the colors that Park Seo-Bo borrowed from nature.' She added, 'LG Electronics is creating new value in art marketing by collaborating with global art partners like Frieze and the Guggenheim to expand the intersection of technology and art in cities like Seoul, London, and New York.'
