Kakao announced on the 3rd that it will conduct open recruitment for new crews in the Kakao Group starting from the 8th of this month for 2026. This recruitment is the first group recruitment open to all job categories, including tech, service, business, design, and staff, since its founding, aimed at actively securing talent suitable for the era of artificial intelligence (AI) at the group level.
In particular, this recruitment focuses on selecting 'AI native' talent who create new values using AI technology. There are concerns that recruitment of new employees will decrease due to the spread of AI technology, but there are expectations that the youth, familiar with new technologies, will be the driving force of innovation.
The first open recruitment of the Kakao Group includes six major subsidiaries: Kakao, Kakao Games, Kakao Mobility, KakaoBank, Kakao Entertainment, and Kakao Pay. Applicants can apply to only one of these companies. Applications will be accepted from September 8 to 28, and the group's integrated recruitment website will open at midnight on the 8th. Actual applications can be submitted from 2 p.m. on that day through each company's recruitment page.
The integrated website provides information on the type of talent the Kakao Group seeks, along with links to each company's recruitment page, work culture, work methods, experiences from seniors, welfare systems, development environments, and career growth programs.
The process includes document screening, a coding test (limited to tech positions), and interviews, which will take place in November. Those who pass the final selection will begin work in January 2026, and since it is a group recruitment, introductory training will also be conducted collectively.
Chung Shina, chairperson of the Kakao CA Council, said, 'Today's youth are the first generation to experience and utilize a variety of AI technologies as they grow.' She added, 'We expect active applications from young talents who can find creative and innovative answers.'
