On the 3rd, Smilegate announced that its game platform "Stove" has signed a global publishing agreement for the new horror game "Alley: Gwihun."
"Alley: Gwihun" is a horror adventure game where players must collect the traces of a ghost called "Gwihun" and escape from a gloomy alley. The developer AIXLAB has realistically recreated the old alleys of Korea while making familiar spaces feel strange and eerie for users.
The game features a multi-ending structure that leads to different outcomes depending on the amount of Gwihun collected.
AIXLAB is an interactive design studio established in 2016, specializing in experiential content based on virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and extended reality (XR).
Lee Seung-hwan, an executive at Smilegate, noted, "Alley: Gwihun is a work that combines Korean sentiment and occult symbolism, and I expect it will show new possibilities for K-horror."
