Hyundai AutoEver announced on the 1st that it has secured a cyber security risk assessment project to respond to the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) from HD Hyundai Infracore and HD Hyundai Construction Equipment.
The CRA is an EU regulation aimed at strengthening cyber security, set to be fully implemented by December 2027. All digital products sold or distributed in Europe must comply with the CRA, and as cyber security regulations expand, they are now also being applied to construction equipment that communicates with external systems. Consequently, manufacturers now require a risk assessment system that can enhance the security of their products or facilities to obtain CRA certification.
The cyber security risk assessment project initiated by Hyundai AutoEver involves systematically analyzing potential security threats that key systems and networks of construction equipment may face. Hyundai AutoEver diagnoses potential risk factors in advance and supports HD Hyundai in providing construction equipment with a high level of cyber security quality to its end customers.
With this contract, Hyundai AutoEver has expanded its mobility security business from general vehicles to construction equipment. Choi Won-hyuk, Executive Director of the Cyber Security Division at Hyundai AutoEver, noted, "We will strengthen our capabilities in the mobility cyber security business and provide customer-centered security services."
