Naver will begin its full-fledged early morning delivery service in collaboration with Kurly.
According to the industry on 1st, Naver has launched a smart store early morning delivery service, including fresh produce, through its logistics subsidiary, Nextmile.
Since July 30th, Naver has been providing an early morning delivery service that delivers products before 7 a.m. the next day for orders placed before 10 p.m. in 70% of the metropolitan area and parts of the Chungcheong area in cooperation with CJ Logistics. With this collaboration with Kurly, early morning delivery of fresh produce will be possible by utilizing Kurly's cold chain infrastructure, and the delivery area will expand to 80% of the metropolitan area. Fresh produce can also be received in Jeju through Kurly's 'same-day delivery' service.
Naver plans to gradually expand its service scope starting with this collaboration. Naver signed a strategic partnership with Kurly last April, which is expected to strengthen the fresh produce sector and help Kurly secure a strong sales channel to create synergistic effects.
Naver plans to expand its services to include daily necessities and room-temperature and low-temperature foods, starting with fresh produce through early morning delivery. Additionally, food brands such as 'Ashley Home Restaurant,' 'Splendid Beef,' and 'Momos Coffee,' which are being sold at smart stores, will be included in the early morning delivery service.
Since the introduction of early morning delivery, Naver reported that its transaction volume has increased by an average of 18%. Furthermore, with the implementation of N delivery, various delivery options including same-day, next-day, and desired delivery are rapidly growing in the e-commerce market.
