Samsung Electronics announced on the 31st that it will operate an exhibition experience zone for the 'Galaxy Z Fold 7∙Z Flip 7' inspired by artist Zhang Julien's paper dolls until September 28 at Samsung Gangnam.
Samsung Electronics showcased the 'The Galaxy UNFOLDERS' experience zone at COEX in Seoul from July 25 to August 17, attracting a cumulative 176,000 visitors, with 80% of those being first-time visitors. As a result, the space was moved to Samsung Gangnam, near Gangnam Station, to enhance accessibility for younger audiences.
This Samsung Gangnam experience zone is titled 'INTO the Galaxy UNFOLDERS' and contains behind-the-scenes stories connected to the personalities and relationships of the characters and the new Galaxy foldable phone products. The exterior of the building is wrapped with images of 13 characters, while representative character videos are shown on a large digital media facade.
The exhibition space is filled with various experience programs from the 1st to the 3rd floors. In the photo zone on the 2nd floor, visitors can take certification photos with paper doll characters, and on the 3rd floor, they can experience the character's worldview and create their own character through 'generative editing' to display on the media wall. A new experience also includes a popularity vote program where visitors can choose their favorite character from the 13 characters.
Additionally, a 'Newface Selfie' SNS event will be held utilizing the cover display of the 'Galaxy Z Flip 7' to take photos combining character faces. Prizes, including ▲Galaxy Z Fold 7 and ▲Starbucks e-card exchange vouchers, will be provided through a lottery for participating customers, and winners will be announced in early October. Visitors will receive pouches and eco-bags featuring the paper doll characters as commemorative goods.
