On the 28th, Huawei Korea announced on the 29th that it will jointly promote a global education program to nurture next-generation leaders in the information and communication technology (ICT) field through a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed with Dongguk University, Ewha Womans University, and Hanyang University at the branch office conference room in Seosomun-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul.
According to this agreement, Huawei will select five outstanding students recommended by each university this year and cover the full expense of the program.
Students will be selected after an evaluation by a panel of judges and will study topics related to next-generation networks and ICT innovation through the program. They are also expected to share planning resources for global ICT development and complete a curriculum that encompasses culture, leadership, and technology.
Huawei's corporate social responsibility program 'Seeds for the Future' has been ongoing since 2008, with participation from over 19,000 people in more than 140 countries around the world. It is an educational program that not only acquires ICT expertise but also strengthens innovation capabilities and global collaboration skills simultaneously.
Huawei expects that this program will help Korean youth cultivate digital leadership to compete on the international stage and contribute to creating a sustainable ICT ecosystem. In the future, it plans to directly provide global ICT trends and innovation education opportunities to Korean students through various corporate social responsibility programs.
