Naver will support online marketing for small and medium-sized enterprises in collaboration with five universities nationwide starting in September.
According to Naver on the 29th, Korea University, Sungkyunkwan University, Jeonbuk National University, Gyeongsang National University, and Pukyong National University will launch the 'SME Facilitator' program next month. They will jointly offer a practical curriculum in digital marketing, providing students with a semester-long course on marketing methodologies.
Afterward, they will help connect local businesses in the area through 1:1 consolidation to provide direct online marketing assistance. Naver will support students with business money coupons that can be used for purchasing marketing tools and advertising products.
This industry-academia cooperation program focuses on strengthening the marketing competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises struggling with digital transformation.
According to a survey by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups in 2024, only 11.4% of small business owners generate e-commerce sales.
Naver's advertising division plans to utilize its existing consulting know-how to identify local small business owners who are in marketing blind spots and connect them with students.
