Samsung Electronics announced on the 28th that it will feature Microsoft's generative AI 'Copilot' in its 2025 model TVs and monitors.
Following the recent application of an enhanced 'Bixby' in the 'Click to Search' feature of the 2025 AI TV, Samsung Electronics plans to integrate Copilot.
The Copilot featured in the 2025 model TVs and monitors will provide information related to content and support learning through conversations, enabled by voice-based interactions.
For instance, users can engage in everyday conversations such as, "Find something to help me feel better after a breakup" or "Is it good weather for hiking on Saturday in Jung-gu, Seoul?" Moreover, personalized experiences for learning support like, "I would like you to help me improve my foreign language skills through conversation" are also possible.
Users of the 2025 Samsung TV can run Copilot on the Tizen OS home screen, Samsung Daily Plus, and the Click to Search feature.
Lee Sang-wook, vice president of Samsung Electronics' video display division, noted, "Copilot will provide users with the information they want more quickly and conveniently, offering personalized experiences across various domains." He added, "Integrating Copilot into the TV is a result of our collaboration with Microsoft, and we will set new standards for AI TVs through our AI open partnership."
