SK Telecom issued a statement immediately following the Personal Information Protection Commission's decision to impose a penalty surcharge on the 28th, noting that the company considers personal information protection a core value in all its business activities and will take thorough measures to enhance customer information protection.
However, SK Telecom expressed regret that, despite sufficiently clarifying the company's actions and positions during the investigation by the Personal Information Protection Commission and the penalty surcharge deliberation process, this was not reflected in the outcome.
Additionally, SK Telecom stated that it plans to thoroughly review the contents after receiving the penalty surcharge decision document and to organize its specific position.
