Samsung Electronics announced on the 26th that it has received Internet of Things (IoT) security certification from the global testing and certification organization TUV Nord.
The certified products include the 2025 model 'Bespoke AI Hybrid' refrigerator equipped with a 9-inch AI home touchscreen and the 2024-2025 model 'Bespoke AI Family Hub' refrigerator that features a 32-inch large touchscreen.
The 2024 model 'Bespoke AI Steam' robot vacuum cleaner and the 2025 model robot vacuum cleaner, which is set to launch this year, have also received certification.
Samsung Electronics' refrigerators and robot vacuum cleaners received high marks in key areas such as data encryption, authentication and access control, security software updates, personal data protection, and vulnerability management.
Samsung Electronics has applied its proprietary security platform, Samsung Knox, to Bespoke AI home appliances, allowing users to confidently use various AI functions.
Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics plans to showcase new robot vacuum cleaners at IFA 2025, the largest home electronics exhibition in Europe, to be held next month in Berlin, Germany.
