Roh Tae-Moon, acting president of Samsung Electronics' institutional sector, stated, "We will innovate the essence of our business centered around artificial intelligence (AI) and transform into an 'AI Driven Company' that works and grows with AI."
According to the industry on the 21st, Roh presented this commitment at the town hall meeting '2025 DX Connect' themed 'the direction the institutional sector will head.' This event marked the first attendance of Roh at an institutional sector town hall meeting since he took on the acting role in April.
At the event, Roh announced the institutional sector's 2030 strategy and shared new working methods created with employees. He noted, "With the rapid development and spread of AI, the electronics industry is evolving at an unprecedented speed," and said, "It is time to revisit and establish our business strategy, working methods, and the touchpoints we have with customers."
He presented the three strategic directions for the institutional sector's 2030 strategy: ▲ Leading AI-driven innovation (AI Driven Company) ▲ Transitioning to a sustainable business structure by discovering new growth engines (Bold Growth) ▲ Securing robust business capabilities based on technology, manufacturing, and quality (Core Strength). The six major company-wide tasks to achieve this include: ▲ AI innovation across all products and services ▲ Improving work productivity through AI ▲ Fostering large-scale new business ▲ Expanding new growth engines in each division ▲ Securing next-generation technological leadership ▲ Enhancing core business competitiveness based on AI and data in development, manufacturing, quality, and more.
Roh pledged, "Based on the challenge and innovation mindset that is our DNA, I will ensure an environment where we can boldly try new ideas and work passionately throughout the organization."
He also remarked about the event, stating, "It was a valuable time to share thoughts with employees about the direction of our institutional sector," and promised to continue communication moving forward.
