Naver Cloud will collaborate with Seoul National University to advance sovereign AI technology and nurture research talent.
Naver Cloud announced on the 21st that it had signed a business agreement with Seoul National University on the 20th for the advancement and ecosystem development of sovereign AI technology.
Naver Cloud and Seoul National University plan to cooperate in the following areas: ▲ joint research and technology development related to sovereign AI ▲ development and operation of educational programs to nurture talent in the AI field ▲ technological exchanges among AI personnel ▲ joint execution of missing person projects and pilot projects.
Seoul National University will provide an academic foundation and research infrastructure, while Naver Cloud will support practical capabilities and technological know-how from the industrial field.
Naver Cloud expects to enhance the technological competitiveness of sovereign AI through this collaboration. The plan is to combine the academic and industrial capabilities of both organizations to accelerate the development and commercialization of advanced AI technology, as well as to contribute to policy and institutional improvements.
Additionally, through joint educational programs and personnel exchanges, they aim to nurture the next generation of AI experts and promote sustainable development across the domestic AI ecosystem.
