LG Electronics announced that it will open the 'LG Electronics Flagship D5' on the 21st, where brand philosophy and technology can be experienced in one place.
The 'LG Electronics Flagship D5' has been established with a total floor area of about 2,700 square meters and five stories, following a complete renewal of the existing LG Electronics Best Shop in Gangnam, located in the largest commercial district of Gangnam, Seoul. The first floor will serve as a customer reception area, the second to fourth floors will be product experience spaces, and the fifth floor will operate as a brand experience space. The name 'D5' signifies 'Dimension 5' and conveys the meaning of providing customers with a new dimension of experience.
The first floor is a welcoming area for customers, where they can appreciate art pieces created using LG Electronics' OLED technology while waiting for consultations. A large digital wall based on transparent OLED will showcase contemporary art pieces supported by LG Electronics, including various works, such as the representative piece 'The Man Who Paints Raindrops' by the late artist Kim Chang-yeol.
The second floor is an experience space for LG Electronics' TV, AV, and IT products. In the picture and sound experience zone, visitors can compare and experience the picture quality and sound of OLED TVs and LG CineBeam. In the LG Gram zone, visitors can directly experience ultra-light premium laptops and on-device AI solutions.
The third floor is dedicated to home, kitchen, and air care appliances. The Tromm zone, featuring the 'AI DD motor' that automatically adjusts washing and drying intensity based on the characteristics of the laundry alongside 6 motion technology displayed through transparent OLED, catches the eye. In the DIO zone, visitors can compare and combine refrigerators according to various kitchen environments and lifestyles, while the Whisen zone visually showcases LG Electronics' core component technology and AI-based 'Core Tech' by disassembling the internal structure of the air conditioner to demonstrate air flow and purification processes.
The fourth floor is decorated with showrooms for the ultra-premium built-in kitchen appliance brand 'Signature Kitchen Suite' and the spatial interior appliance 'Objet Collection.' It offers suggestions for the harmony between appliances and interiors by recreating actual living rooms, kitchens, and dressing rooms. A specialized consultation zone provides personalized purchasing consultations.
The fifth floor consists of a heritage lounge that contains LG Electronics' history and vision, as well as a vision hall. In the heritage lounge, visitors can view videos tracing the history from the founding of Goldstar in 1958 to the present. The vision hall showcases LG Electronics' vision and features media art consisting of translucent OLED sculptures, including elements like the sea, the Milky Way, and stained glass.
The building's exterior is clad in white terracotta materials, which shine subtly in natural light during the day and create a dynamic atmosphere with media facade videos at night. The large glass windows that fill the front maximize openness and provide a clear view of the large signage that connects the interior from the first to the fifth floor.
