Fortinet Korea announced on the 21st that it has launched a next-generation security product line aimed at the 5G and 5G specialized network markets.
Fortinet has released a lineup of 5G-supported products, including "FortiGate Rugged 70G-5G-DUAL," "FortiGate Rugged 50G-5G," and "FortiWiFi 50G-5G-II." In particular, the FortiGate Rugged 70G-5G-DUAL supports dual active USIM for the first time in the industry, significantly increasing the availability and consolidation of 5G connections, the company explained. Additionally, through its 5G mobile extension solution, it can implement 5G specialized network communications in key industrial sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, ports, healthcare, and smart cities.
All new products are designed based on Fortinet's integrated security architecture, "Fortinet Security Fabric." This provides extended security visibility and automated threat response from IT to operational technology (OT). A company official noted, "In particular, the OT security platform centralizes management and automation of network segmentation, asset visibility, traffic visibility, and advanced threat defense on a single platform, allowing for consistent security policies even in complex environments."
Jung-ki, executive director of Fortinet Korea, said, "With the launch of these new products, we will strengthen our leadership in the 5G, 5G specialized network, OT security, and software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) markets and support customers in securing top-level security and networking performance."
Fortinet plans to introduce these products at the "ISEC 2025 (International Security Conference)" scheduled to be held from August 26 to 27.
