GBike, which operates the personal mobility (PM) sharing service 'GCOO', announced on the 20th that it successfully completed the 'GCOO National Crossing Content Contest.'
This contest was held from June to July targeting youth aged 20 to 30, with a total of 28 teams (61 participants) challenging a national crossing from Seoul to Mokpo on GBike electric bicycles. GBike provided participants with GBike electric bicycles and team activity support funds to facilitate a smooth crossing.
Participants challenged themselves with a mission to create YouTube content documenting the national crossing process. As of the judging date, a total of 68 videos (39 long-form and 29 short-form) were published, accumulating about 280,000 views and approximately 7,000 likes.
In the videos, participants directly experienced the convenience and stability of the GBike electric bicycle during long-distance rides, vividly recording special moments unique to the national crossing, such as the scenery they encountered, episodes among team members, and unexpected challenges. In particular, the sight of participants exchanging batteries at the 'GBS (Grid Battery Station)' battery exchange station operated by GBike in Sejong City drew attention, showcasing an eco-friendly mobility infrastructure.
As a result of the contest, a total of 7 teams were selected as winners based on a comprehensive evaluation of the content's performance and completeness. The grand prize team (1 team) received 2 million won and an opportunity for a 3-month internship at GBike. Two teams received excellence awards of 1 million won each, while four teams received encouragement awards of 500,000 won each. The national crossing content from participants can be checked in the 'GCOO National Crossing' playlist on the GBike YouTube channel.
Yoon Jong-soo, the representative of GBike, said, "It is very meaningful that GCOO could be part of this special journey connecting Seoul to Mokpo," adding, "I think the videos infused with the youth of the participants well combine the eco-friendly values of GCOO and the beauty of challenge."
